Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Cath Lab experience for a travel/contract position. The role requires call availability up to 3 times per week, with shifts after 7:00 PM Monday through Friday and 24-hour coverage on weekends (every other weekend rotation at most).

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Experience

Call Requirements

• Call required up to 3 times per week

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, county, state, federal, and national criminal and sex offender searches
• HHS/OIG clearance required
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, with annual updates if applicable
• Tdap vaccine required (no declinations accepted)
• Proof of N95 fit test within 1 year prior to start (specific approved masks required)
• Drug testing: 9-panel within 1 year of start
• COVID-19 vaccination required or approved medical/religious exemption on file
• Flu vaccination or agency flu declination required year-round
• Completion of facility-specific learning modules (approx. 8 hours) prior to start
• Completion and signature of facility-specific documents including Standards of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Job Description prior to start
• Two satisfactory professional references
• Employment application and skills checklist required

Additional Facility Requirements

• Facility uses EPIC and Cerner electronic health records; RN candidates must have at least 6 months of experience with either system to avoid auto-cancellation
• Pyxis Acknowledgment must be signed prior to start
• No scrub color requirement; OR and L&D scrubs provided by facility

Notes

• Facility does not provide onsite N95 fit testing; failed fit test requires traveler to bring alternate approved mask or PAPR device
• Interview notes from clinical team required for audit purposes
• Vaccine attestation form must be completed regardless of vaccination status

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab RNs licensed in California who are comfortable with evening and weekend call shifts and meet the comprehensive compliance and certification requirements.
