Nuclear Medicine Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado

Job Details

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5 days a week, 40 hours/week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Average Daily Census: 20 patients
Visits per Day: Approximately 20
Floating: Required to float between like units and may float to sister facilities based on need
Weekend Requirement: None
On-call Requirement: None

Required Qualifications

Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience
Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel assignment
ARRT (N) certification required
Experience with traveler assignments

- Education verification (third-party or transcript/diploma)
Employment application and verification of last 3 years of work history (gaps >30 days must be explained)
Two professional references from the last two years (one from the last year), from charge RN, manager, or supervisor level
Colorado CAPS check results within 60 days of start

Certifications & Competencies

BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or RQI accepted
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): May be required depending on unit; confirm with recruiter
Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (updated annually)
Core competency exams (Parts I, II, III) and OSHA mandatory training (updated annually)
Color blindness testing: Ishihara exam required (online testing not accepted for new candidates)

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
Fit mask test within 12 months of start (3M 1860S, 1860R, 1870/1870+ masks accepted)
Immunizations or titers required:
- TDAP (within 10 years or signed declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity by titer or vaccination
- Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
Drug testing within 30 days of start and updated annually (specific drug panel required)
COVID-19 vaccination proof or signed declination (acceptable vaccines: AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna)

Additional Notes

Candidates must confirm renewal plans for any certifications expiring within 90 days of assignment start to avoid clearance issues
Facility-specific new employee orientation modules must be completed within the first two weeks of assignment
