Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Shift: Night shift (5 days a week, 8-hour shifts, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Schedule: 3rd shift with alternating weekends

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in Illinois
  • Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience as an X-Ray Technician

Required Documentation

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Employment application with 7 years of employment history and explanations for gaps over 30 days
  • Professional references (2 within last 3 years) – for direct hires only
  • Facility-specific forms including Hepatitis B declination (if applicable), TB questionnaire, flu exemption form (if requesting exemption), and mandated reporter status form
  • Annual TB questionnaire update
  • Flu vaccination documentation or approved exemption for the 2025-2026 flu season (October 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years or declination form with prior vaccination record

Additional Information

  • Fingerprinting requirements exclude certain non-clinical roles (e.g., administrative assistants, EVS aides, food service workers) but apply to patient-facing clinical staff without Illinois licenses
  • Fit mask testing completed on-site (not required for non-clinical roles)
  • Drug screen must be initiated within 24-48 hours of offer acceptance
  • Candidates with positive TB tests must provide a physician’s letter and complete additional facility forms
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
