Location: North Kansas City, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 10 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
On-Call: None

Job Description

Provide occupational therapy services in a home health setting within Jackson County.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance with your name as a listed driver

Preferred Qualifications

• Home care experience preferred
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers
• Knowledge of therapy best practices and ability to make sound occupational therapy judgments
• Detail-oriented, observant, disciplined, and able to prioritize tasks effectively

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check and fingerprinting completed prior to employment (Missouri-specific requirements apply)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Driver’s license and auto insurance documentation required
• Physical exam, TB test or chest x-ray, and immunization documentation as applicable
• Drug screening may be required depending on location and specialty standards
• Facility-specific health and safety documentation may be required (e.g., Hepatitis B form, flu and COVID vaccination or exemptions)

Additional Notes

• No prior travel experience explicitly required
• No on-call or weekend shifts
• Work primarily involves home visits within the designated county area
