Job Description
- Position: Mammography Technician (Mammo Tech)
- Shifts:
- Tuesday to Saturday or Monday to Friday (5 days of 8-hour shifts)
- Variable shifts: 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM
- Day shift on the fifth day (Saturday)
- Possible days off: Sunday/Monday or Friday/Sunday
- Schedule includes working every other weekend
- Travel experience preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of experience required
Certification Requirements
- CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
- AART (American Association of Radiologic Technologists)
- RHM (Registered in Mammography)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Background Check Requirements
- 7-year background check within 6 months of start, including:
- Social Security trace with all aliases
- County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
- Nationwide sex offender search (within 90 days of start)
- Education verification (highest level achieved, except if high school)
- FACIS Level 3 search within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks updated annually
- Motor Vehicle Report if driving position (not applicable here)
- Transcript/Diploma verification as needed
- Pending background check attestation may be required if delays occur
Required Certifications & Verifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC approved
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC approved
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or ARC approved (verify by position)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – AHA/AAP, Instructor or Advanced Provider Course (verify by position)
- CCRN (Critical Care RN) – verify by position
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – valid for 4 years (verify by position)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – verify by position (typically for Labor & Delivery)
- Tech Certification Verification – required within 30 days of start
- State License Verification – primary source online verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP) – within 30 days of start
- IV Certification (if applicable) – verify by position
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) – verify by position
- NIH Stroke Certification – verify by position
- Miscellaneous Certifications (e.g., Nuchal Translucency, Nasal Bone Imaging) – as applicable
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) – verify by position
