Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Woodward, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Call Requirement: 1-2 nights per week, one weekend per month
  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
  • Scope of Work: Must be able to perform general, vascular, OB, and echocardiography
  • Floating: Yes, clinician will float within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
  • Block Schedule: Not accommodated
  • Local Radius Rule: Candidate must live more than 75 miles from the facility
  • Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 5 days of RTO accepted
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Locals Accepted: No
  • Pending State License: Not accepted

Required Certifications and Licenses

  • Graduate from an accredited AMA ultrasound school
  • RDMS Certification (ARDMS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

Identification and Residency

  • Current and valid Driver’s License or State-issued ID
  • Utility bill in candidate’s name with matching address dated within last 3 months, address must be >75 miles from facility

Background Checks

  • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC sanctions list searches within 30 days of start, updated monthly
  • Fingerprinting may be required for certain facilities
  • Education verification of highest level completed (certificates alone not accepted)
  • State-specific searches as applicable

Health and Immunization

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good health and no physical limitations
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
  • Immunizations or titers for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (vaccination series or declination)
    • Varicella
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap mandatory for certain units)
    • Hepatitis A (for pediatric/PICU and specific campuses)
    • Seasonal Flu vaccine (required annually with exemptions allowed)
    • COVID-19 vaccine or declination accepted with conditions
  • Drug screening (10-panel including marijuana) within 30 days of start, updated annually

Competency Exams and Training

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (RNs, LPNs/LVNs) within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Color Blind Testing within 60 days prior to start
  • Unit-specific competency exams with passing scores required annually
  • Core competency exams covering safety, patient rights, ethics, infection control, etc., required annually
  • Behavioral competency exam for behavioral health roles
  • Skills checklist updated annually and aligned with competency exams

Facility-Specific Requirements

  • Patient Care Orientation Class (Skills) mandatory for RNs
  • EPIC training required if no EPIC experience within 12 months
  • Fit testing for N95 masks completed onsite within 1 year of start
  • Vehicle information form completed prior to start
  • Completion of facility policy acknowledgments including:
    • Code of Ethical Business Conduct
    • Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy
    • Information Access Agreement
    • Oklahoma Offender Registration Act
    • Oklahoma Responsibilities and Rights (updated every 2 years)

References and Employment History

  • Two references from former direct supervisors (one within 1 year, one within 3 years)
  • Current and updated resume covering last 7 years, with explanations for gaps over 30 days
  • 10-year work history verification including international positions
