Radiology / Cardiology Technologist - Travel/Contract Position

Location: San Francisco, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Perform routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease.
Work independently with sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures delivering accurate results timely.
Gain patient and family cooperation through competent assessment, monitoring, and communication.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
Must be able to perform both x-ray and CT exams.
Work alone during 00:00-07:30 hours (with staff support during initial orientation shifts); on-call technologist available during these hours.

Requirements

California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R)
CT Experience required
Fluoroscopy Permit required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Must be able to work 3 x 12-hour shifts:
- Friday and Saturday: 20:00 - 08:00
- Sunday: 20:15 - 08:15

Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps; employment verification required for up to 7 years
References: 2 professional references required (Aya requirement, not client)

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start (annual renewal only if assigned to specific units)
Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or failed tests)
Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B series or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids)

Shift Details

3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
Friday and Saturday: 8 PM to 8 AM
Sunday: 8:15 PM to 8:15 AM

Additional Notes

Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, and other regulatory documents prior to start.
Religious exemptions for PAPR or vaccine requirements require approval and specific documentation.
On-call technologist support available during overnight solo shifts.

This position is ideal for a certified Radiologic Technologist with CT and fluoroscopy experience, comfortable working independently overnight shifts, and meeting comprehensive background, health, and compliance requirements.
