Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Conway, Arkansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Weekend Requirement: Yes, weekends are required
Scrub Color: Ceil blue and/or black
Travel Radius: Must be located within 100 miles of the facility

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy
• Experience in ER & ICU in an acute care setting required
• Ventilator management, oxygen therapy, airway management, respiratory treatments, suctioning, ABGs, and EKGs experience required
• Experience with high-risk deliveries preferred (including neonatal resuscitation and ventilator support in nursery)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bedside Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) experience preferred
• Bronchoscopy experience preferred
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and nursery experience preferred (Level 2 nursery with high-risk deliveries such as C-sections)
• Experience with RAM cannula, Vapotherm, and heated nasal cannulas in the nursery

Work Environment

• Rotates through NICU, ICU, COVID units, ER, floor work, nursery, etc.
• May stabilize infants and provide short-term ventilator support (typically less than 24 hours)

Required Certifications and Documents

• Arkansas RRT State License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only, required for Labor & Delivery and other applicable units
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only, preferred for pediatric and emergency units
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - as required
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Education verification
• Drug screening (9 or 10 panel) within 90 days of start
• Physical exam and immunizations including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titer or vaccination)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (titer or vaccination)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (required during flu season, exemptions accepted)
  • COVID vaccination or declination accepted

Additional Requirements

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID carried during hours of service
• Residency declaration if working on a compact license
• Completion of facility-specific forms such as TB screening, HepB form, and disclosure agreement
• Competency exams including medication test/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG competency (for Tele units), and core competency exams
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Performance evaluations if previously worked with the facility for over 1 year
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
