Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Warren, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Full-time travel/contract position
• Night shifts
• Must be comfortable floating between Medical-Surgical and Emergency Room units
• Requires Minnesota RN license
• At least 2 years of experience in nursing specialty required (Registered Nurse)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• PALS certification required and must be kept up to date during the contract

Required Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) preferably from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferably from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required for all RNs
• Competency Exam as applicable by profession, must meet or exceed passing score

Licensure & Documentation

• Valid Minnesota RN license required
• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background check within 1 year of start, including SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide, Sex Offender registry
• Minnesota DHS Net Study Fingerprint clearance required prior to start (fingerprint process must be completed immediately after signing contract)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, vaccine, or history of chickenpox)
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Seasonal Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Additional Requirements

• Emergency Contact Form required prior to start
• Skills Checklist required annually
• 2 professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years)
• Must complete Minnesota DHS Net Study Questionnaire immediately after signing contract to initiate fingerprinting process
• Candidate must complete fingerprinting within 2 weeks of registration
• If fingerprinting location is not within driving distance, candidate must travel to complete fingerprinting prior to assignment start
