Job Description

• Maintain 24/7 STEMI on-call services and day-to-day operations
• 30-minute response time for on-call duties
• Monday through Friday shifts starting at 6 AM
• 8 to 9 hour shifts, 4-5 days per week
• Availability required for weekend and holiday on-call

Required Certifications and Licenses

• ARRT Certification
• Kentucky State License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification matching specialty (transcript or diploma acceptable if verification unavailable)
• State-specific abuse registry check (KY) if applicable
• NURSYS verification for applicable licenses (RNs)
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required by facility but required by agency standards)
• Fit mask test annually (with waiver process for failed tests)
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • Tdap within 10 years (declination acceptable for non-clinical)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or IgG titer required, no declinations accepted
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer, series, or declination required
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or IgG titer required, no declinations accepted
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references required (1 for non-clinical)
• Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be updated annually (not required for non-clinical)
• Performance evaluations completed by unit managers (not required prior to start)
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
• Color blindness testing required prior to start
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification may be required depending on specialty/unit

Work Environment and Expectations

• Fast-paced cath lab environment supporting cardiac emergencies
• On-call responsibilities with strict response times
• Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays on-call

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Techs with strong cardiac imaging skills and the ability to respond quickly to STEMI alerts in a hospital setting.
