Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Rolla, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule & Work Details
- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
- Start times vary between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM depending on Perioperative needs
- On-call one weeknight per week
- Weekend call rotation approximately every 8-10 weeks
- Experienced travelers preferred
- Epic electronic health record experience required
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license (verification required prior to start and upon expiration)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA certified
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA certified (based on unit/specialty)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA certified (required for Pediatrics, Emergency Department, and PACU)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - required for Pediatrics and OB
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - required for Emergency Department
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification within 12 months
- ENPC preferred for Emergency Department
Background & Verification Requirements
- Background check within 1 year covering all locations lived, worked, or attended school in the past 7 years
- HHS/OIG clearance required
- Education verification (highest level) via diploma, transcript, or 3rd party verification
- State-specific checks including Missouri FCSR results, EDL search (updated quarterly), CNA registry check (for Home Health & Hospice), and sex offender registry search
Health & Immunization Requirements
- N95 Fit Test (using 1870+ mask) within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or T-Spot) within 4 months of start; if positive TB, chest x-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or signed declination)
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season (October - April)
- Seasonal COVID vaccination or declination
- 9-panel urine drug screen within 3 months of start (marijuana not required)
Additional Requirements
- Driver’s license or state ID required
- Annual competency exam required
- Performance evaluations (most recent and annual)
- Facility-specific documents to review and sign, including orientation checklist, parking policy, COVID-19 vaccination declaration, and TB questionnaire (if applicable)
- Completion of required modules and training on first day
This position is ideal for experienced travel nurses with perioperative and Epic experience who meet the outlined licensure, certification, and health requirements.
