Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Silver City, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12)
Start Date: ASAP (as soon as compliant)

Charting System: Meditech (or comparable EMR preferred)

Licensure & Certifications

Current New Mexico or Multi-State Nursing License required (pending licenses not accepted)
Certifications required:
- ACLS (AHA or RQI acceptable)
- BLS (AHA or RQI acceptable)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Intermediate (for Labor & Delivery)
Preferred/Additional Certifications:
- PALS (required for Pediatrics, Surgery, PACU, ER; ICU must obtain within 3 months)
- TNCC (preferred for ER)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) required for Labor & Delivery
- NIH Stroke Certification (required for ICU and Tele, preferred for ER)

Health & Safety Requirements

Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands (Qualivis requirement)
Fit-tested N95 mask required (specific models accepted)
Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity:
- Tdap (declinations accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters preferred if low titers)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters preferred if low titers)
10-panel drug screen within last 12 months including THC/Marijuana
Facility conducts a second drug test with alcohol screening at orientation
Influenza vaccine strongly encouraged; declination accepted with mask requirement during flu season

Documentation & Onboarding

Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
Complete employment application/resume
Skills checklist updated annually (as applicable)
Various facility-specific documents and policies must be reviewed and signed (e.g., confidentiality, code of conduct, compliance, drug-free workplace)
Passport-style photo required for badge (no filters, no facial piercings)
