Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity
Location: Bend, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- May be placed in Charge RN role as needed (prior charge experience preferred)
- Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts
- Patient Ratios: 1:2 (days), 1:1 (nights)
- On-call required: 1830-0800 daily, plus 24 hours on Sunday
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
- Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs (between Bend and Madras)
- Local candidates accepted only if within 75-mile radius
- Pending license not accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: 7 days
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of specialty experience as a Registered Nurse
- Prior travel experience not explicitly required
- First-time travelers are welcome
Certifications Required
- ACLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
- BLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
Preferred Experience
- Epic electronic health record experience preferred
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check (updated annually) including:
- SSN Trace
- Counties lived/worked/school
- FACIS L3
- DOJ Sex Offender Search
- Nationwide check
- Education verification (highest level)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 90 days of start
- Diploma or transcript required on file
- Primary source verification of state license and NURSYS verification required
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years (or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per protocol
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer required)
- Varicella
- Negative 12-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season
- COVID vaccine preferred but not required; declination or exemption required if unvaccinated
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually
Additional Requirements
- Time-sensitive facility-specific documents and agreements must be signed and on file prior to start
- Passport-style photo required for badge within 48 hours of signing
