Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology - Worcester, Massachusetts

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Schedule:

  • Every third weekend
  • Evening rotating call
  • Rotating weekend call from 8am to 6pm
• Procedures Supported: ERCPs and Upper Endoscopies

Experience Requirements

• Years of Specialty Experience Required: 2 years (recent experience required)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications & Licenses

• Required:

  • Valid State Driver’s License or ID
  • ACLS (AHA Only)
  • BLS (AHA Only)
  • State License Verification within 30 days of start
  • NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) within 30 days prior to start
  • Tech Certification Verification (National) within 30 days of start
• Additional Certifications to Check (may be required depending on specialty):

  • PALS
  • NRP
  • NALS
  • CHEMO (preferred for Oncology)
  • TNCC (preferred for ER)
  • EFM (may be required for L&D)
  • ENPC
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
• Pass/Fail Testing:

  • Medication Exam required for all RNs and LPNs
  • Telemetry Exam required for RNs working in telemetry units (only one attempt allowed)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start (annual update required for direct candidates)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks if run separately
• Education Verification (highest completed education) required
• Massachusetts Statewide iCORI Clearance required within 30 days prior to start
• Sex Offender Search (for subcontractors if run separately)
• Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search (required for all candidates in MA, not required for subcontractors)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness without restrictions
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray with specific testing timelines and follow-up for positive results
• TB Questionnaire required for all candidates
• Immunizations or valid declinations required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination (or declination during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination (most recent) or facility-specific declination
• Drug Testing within 30 days of start (specific drug panels required)
• Color Blind Testing (if applicable to specialty)

Documentation & Other Requirements

• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually as applicable

This position requires a healthcare professional with at least 2 years of recent experience in Radiology/Cardiology, supporting ERCPs and upper endoscopies, with a commitment to rotating weekend and evening call schedules. Compliance with extensive background checks, certifications, and health documentation is mandatory.
