Job Details
- Position: Radiation Therapist
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (8.5 hours with 30-minute lunch)
- Holiday Weeks: 10-hour shifts to accommodate 40 guaranteed hours
- On-call: No
- Weekends: No
- Expected Weekly Hours: 40
- Dress Code: Scrubs (black pants, any top)
- Onboarding Week: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Required Certifications & Licenses
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Ohio State License
- ARRT in Radiation Therapy Technology
Experience & Skills
- Must be fully competent with Varian TruBeam linacs, Halcyon, and Aria version 15
- Preferred knowledge of Vision RT or OSMS (VisionRT experience is nice to have but not required)
- Required skills: TrueBeam, Halcyon, Aria

Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start (including SS trace, counties lived/worked, nationwide, sex offender, MVR if driving)
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start (Ohio-specific code 3701.881)
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
- Education accreditation verification required
- Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (adult dose after age 11/12)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (or TB questionnaire)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters if low titer
- Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; medical exemption requires documentation
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, cocaine, methadone, methaqualone, opiates, PCP, propoxyphene)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
- COVID vaccination not required but strongly recommended
Additional Requirements
- 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership)
- Employment application and skills checklist required
- Unit-specific competency exams may be required
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required for RNs/LVNs
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for RNs (with remediation process if failed)
Notes
- No weekend or on-call shifts
- First week onboarding hours differ (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Dress code is scrubs with black pants and any top
- Background and fingerprinting processes are time-sensitive and must be completed prior to or at start
- Facility-specific compliance and training documents must be reviewed and signed annually
