Certifications & Licenses Required

• NBRC (RRT or CRT)
• Illinois State License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA provider or AHA RQI only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Required for specific RN/Unit positions, not required for this role
• Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) are recommended for specific units but not required for this position

Skills & Special Requirements

• Proficient in blood gas acquisition and analysis
• Critical care and emergency experience required

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check including aliases and multiple federal/state databases
• Education verification required (diploma/transcripts acceptable if verification unavailable)
• Fingerprinting required for candidates without Illinois state license; must be completed in Illinois
• Drug testing (9-panel minimum) within 30 days of assignment start
• Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific mask models required)
• Immunizations and titers required within 2 business days of contract signing:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (if positive TB)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (vaccination or declination)
  • Varicella
• Flu seasonal vaccination/documentation required for flu season (10/1 to 3/31), with facility-approved medical or religious exemptions only

• Current resume with last 7 years of employment; gaps over 30 days must be explained
• 2 professional references required
• Employment verification for last 7 years
• Skills checklist updated annually for assigned and float units
• Photo for badge (passport style, plain background, no headgear)

Additional Notes

• Candidate must complete and sign any required exemption forms (COVID-19, Influenza) at least one week prior to documentation due date; approval process may take up to one week
• Facility-specific compliance and background attestations may be required
• Candidates must be prepared to meet all health and safety requirements prior to start date
