Job Opportunity: MRI Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

• Position: MRI Technologist
• Required Credentials:

  • ARRT RT(R)(MR) certification
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Schedule: 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, Friday through Sunday, with call rotation
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT RT(R)(MR)
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense accepted
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only, RQI acceptable (case-by-case basis)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - required for Respiratory Therapists (RRTs)
• State License (Primary Source Verification required)
• NURSYS Verification (for RNs) if applicable

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Drug Screening: 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start, updated annually
• Physical Exam: Initial physical required, updated annually
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray: 2-step PPD or equivalent within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations:

  • Rubeola (Measles): Titer or 2 vaccines within 5 years
  • Mumps: Titer or 2 vaccines within 5 years
  • Rubella: Titer or 2 vaccines within 5 years
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination within 5 years
  • Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines within 5 years (Zoster/Shringrix not accepted)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved Medical/Religious Exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 31)

Additional Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service
• E-Verify proof or attestation
• Residency Declaration Form if working on a compact license
• Photo for badge: Passport-style photo required before start
• Completion of facility-specific self-study orientation and post-test
• Signed accountability statements and personal data sheet
• Completion of ARHS Criminal History Investigation Form if background check returns a hit
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Performance evaluations if worked with the system over 1 year
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units

Schedule & Work Environment

• Weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday) with call rotation
• Facility requires adherence to all compliance and credentialing standards

Experience & Travel Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist required
• No explicit prior travel experience required
