Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialist

Location: Wichita Falls, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Experience:

  • Level III NICU experience required
  • Pediatric/nursery experience preferred
  • Basic critical care experience preferred
  • CRT accepted
• Systems: Epic experience strongly preferred
• Start Date: 1/12 or 1/26 (firm)

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
• BLS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
• PALS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) as applicable
• CHEMO (Chemotherapy) as applicable
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) as applicable
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) as applicable
• NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
• State License verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS Verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP within 30 days of start
• Tech Certification Verification (National) within 30 days of start
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update)

Background and Compliance Checks

• Background check within 1 year of start (includes SS Trace, County searches for last 7 years, Nationwide, Sex Offender)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (2-step PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot within 1 year; chest X-ray within 5 years if positive PPD)
• TB Questionnaire required regardless of TB status
• Rubeola (Measles): 2 vaccines or positive titer required (exempt if born before 1957)
• Mumps: 2 vaccines or positive titer required (exempt if born before 1957)
• Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required (exempt if born before 1957)
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series of 3, or declination required
• Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox required
• Flu seasonal vaccination required (or facility-specific medical/religious exemption)
• COVID vaccination documentation required
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant acceptable) and plan for completion within 72 hours of contract signing

This position requires a healthcare professional with specialized NICU and pediatric respiratory/neuro diagnostics experience, appropriate certifications, and compliance with health and background checks. The contract is for approximately 13 weeks in Wichita Falls, Texas.
