Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Med/Surg Telemetry)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Acute Care RN needed for Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights (6:45 pm - 7:15 am)
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• No call or float requirements
• Minimum Return to Office (RTO): Holiday availability requested
• Locals and first-time travelers are welcome; travel experience preferred

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Med/Surg Telemetry)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA preferred
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• License: Valid RN license for Pennsylvania
• Physical exam within 12 months required, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• N95 Fit Test within 1 year of start (can be done upon arrival)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD, T-Spot, or Quantiferon Gold acceptable)
• Immunizations or titers required: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination accepted)
• 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months
• PA Child Abuse Clearance within 12 months, updated annually
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Completion of mandatory education and acknowledgment forms prior to start

Additional Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, PA statewide search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Fingerprinting per Pennsylvania Department of Human Services within 12 months of start
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
• Performance evaluations if previously employed with the agency for over 1 year
• Employment application and skills checklist updated annually

• Experience in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing required
