Job Opportunity: SLP Home Health (Therapy/Rehabilitation)

Job Details

• Specialty: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Work Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM or 4x8 shifts considered
• Average Patients per Day: 5-7
• Type of Cases: Home Health
• Weekend Requirement: No weekends
• On-call: No

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty (SLP)
• First-time travelers are accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Required Licenses and Certifications

• Valid State License for SLP in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred (per Aya contract requirements)

Work Environment and Other Requirements

• Territory covers Central Coast of California, including Lompoc and San Luis Obispo, with a 60-mile patient coverage radius
• Locals within 50 miles accepted
• Dress code: Business casual (no jeans) or scrubs with closed-toe shoes
• Charting system: Matrix Care (no prior experience needed)
• Free parking available
• No COVID-19 or flu vaccination policy required

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background checks including SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide, Sex Offender, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG (updated annually)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Immunization or titer proof for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year
• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Professional references: 2 for travel/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care (within 3 years)
• Skills checklist required annually
• All required documents must be submitted before starting; compliance processing may take 2-3 weeks
• All Return to Office (RTO) requests must be submitted at time of application

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in California
• Minimum of 1 year of Speech Language Pathologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
