Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse
Location: San Francisco, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: 10-hour variable days
- Ability to float to other facilities within the system
- Moderate Sedation competency in Interventional Radiology (IR) and Neuro IR required
Required Qualifications
- California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (AHA only, no placeholders)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an IR RN (Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse)
- Moderate Sedation competency in IR and Neuro IR
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ICU, Emergency Department (ED), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), or procedural areas
- Radiology Imaging Nursing Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Prior Travel Experience

Required Certifications & Competencies
- BLS and ACLS (AHA certified)
- PALS (preferred)
- Pass/Fail Telemetry and Medication Tests required on first day of orientation

- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years, no declinations accepted)
- Negative TB tests (2 required: one within 1 year, one within 3 months of start) or chest X-ray if positive
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (IGG titer or 2 vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella (IGG titer or 2 vaccines; history of disease not accepted)
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination (required Nov-April)
- COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption; booster 2 required for all travelers
Additional Requirements
- Two supervisory references required, preferably from the most recent employment
- Current and updated resume covering last 7 years of work history; gaps of 30+ days must be explained
- Unit-specific skills checklist, updated annually
- Verification of 7 years of work history required
- Completion of facility-specific learning modules and cybersecurity awareness training prior to or during first week of assignment
- Compliance with facility-specific COVID-19 preparedness and vaccination policies
