Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Work Schedule

  • Sunday to Thursday, Tuesday to Saturday, or Monday to Friday
  • Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
  • Current Texas Physical Therapy license (Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist (preferred)

Required Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA preferred, ARC accepted (required for all candidates)

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Standard background check including SS Trace, County searches (last 7 years), Nationwide, Sex Offender registry
  • Education verification of initial and most recent related degree
  • Two professional references verified within one year of start
  • Skills checklist updated annually and valid at start date

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start date
  • Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 1 year; PPD not accepted
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine required (TDAP only; exemptions require approval)
  • Immunity or vaccination for:
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
    • Varicella (titer, 2 vaccines, or history of disease)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required year-round
  • COVID vaccination highly encouraged but not mandatory

Onboarding and Orientation

  • Must attend Occupational Health appointment and Orientation prior to start
  • Orientation held weekly on Tuesdays
  • Completion of electronic onboarding documents required before documentation due date
