Job Description

• Pediatric Oncology RN position providing specialized care in pediatric oncology.

Required Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Pediatric Oncology)

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for all clinical positions.

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, including all counties lived/worked and sex offender registry.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
• Education verification or copy of diploma/transcripts required (can start pending verification).
• 2 professional references required (Charge RN or above preferred).

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (required for agency placements).
• Fit mask test within 6 months of start; facility offers onsite testing if needed.
• Tdap vaccine required within years of start.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility policy; updated every 2 years if contract extends.
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 6 months of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct-April).
• COVID vaccines preferred but not required as of May 2024.

Competency Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam with passing score of 80% or higher.
• Other competency exams as applicable to specialty.

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion and review of orientation guide and post-test prior to start.
• Completion of confidentiality agreement and personal information forms.
• Review of dress and grooming standards, harassment-free workplace policy, IT acceptable use policy, and parking information.
• Submission of medical or religious influenza exemption forms if applicable.

Prior Travel Experience
