Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA Instructor or Provider, RQI accepted)
• BLS (AHA Instructor or Provider, RQI accepted)
• NIH Stroke Certification (must be renewed annually)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (10/31 - 3/31), with medical or religious exemptions only

Licensure

• Florida State or Compact License required at time of submission
• Pending licenses not accepted

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references from authority figures (Managers, Supervisors, Charge Nurses, or Directors) within the last 12 months
• Physical exam within 6 months prior to start (required by Florida law for all patient-facing candidates)
• Background checks including Social Security Trace, Education Verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Florida AHCA Level II Fingerprint Clearance (must be on file prior to start)
• Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (must include marijuana)
• Immunizations and titers required within 5 years:

  • TB test (QGold or 2 negative PPDs)
  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Fit mask test within 12 months prior to start (strict policy: must be fully shaven; PAPR not accepted)
• Facility-specific documents including job description acknowledgment, confidentiality agreement, iCARE values, badge photo, and insurance (if applicable)

Work Environment

• Holiday, weekend, and float requirements apply
• Traveler may float to multiple units or locations within the healthcare system
• EPIC experience required

Notes

• Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Flu vaccine exemptions require facility-specific forms and must be submitted by the Monday prior to start
• Fingerprint clearance through Florida AHCA must be completed before start; Livescan fingerprinting can be done out of state but clearance can take up to 10 days or longer if prior background hits exist

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with at least 1 year of specialty experience in PCU, who have current Florida licensure and required certifications, and are comfortable with floating and weekend shifts.
