Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Monday – Friday day shift; 4 x 10-hour shifts
• Shift times may extend later (up to 7:00 or 8:00 PM) depending on patient volume
• No on-call required
• Schedule details to be discussed during interview
• Must be proficient with Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator (hard requirement)
• Must have recent Epic experience within the last 12 months (must be detailed on profile)
• Holidays observed: Memorial Day, July 3rd, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day
• Work on Sunday prior to Thanksgiving and abbreviated day on Christmas Eve

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background check within 30 days of start, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
• Verification of diploma/transcript for specialty
• Physical exam within one year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year of start
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Required vaccinations or immunity documentation: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (no exemptions accepted)
• COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Completed employment application/resume
• Skills checklist as applicable to specialty

Certifications

• ARRT certification for Radiation Therapist
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, EFM certifications not required for this role (specific to other disciplines)

Additional Notes

• Candidates must pass an Epic test (one attempt only) unless exempted; failure results in contract cancellation
• N95 fit test required within one year of start; no PAPR allowed
• Appearance standards must be reviewed and signed prior to start
