Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele Float

Job Description

• Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required.
• Epic electronic health record experience preferred.
• Staffing ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Strict 5 days maximum return to office (RTO) policy.

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana.
• Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Must meet all background check requirements including social security trace, nationwide checks, sex offender registry, and federal exclusions.
• Must complete competency exams including medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG, and core competencies annually.
• Must comply with immunization and health screening requirements including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per protocol
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination
• Drug screening within 30 days of start date.
• Employment application with 7 years of work history and no gaps over 30 days.

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Must be able to work in a float role covering Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
• Competency exams and certifications must be current and maintained annually.
• CPI certification may be completed onsite if not already certified.
• Physical exam not required but immunizations and health documents must be up to date.
• Background checks and license verifications must be completed within specified timeframes.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Every other weekend and holiday required.
• Staffing ratio 1:6.
• Float position covering Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
