Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - Travel/Contract

Job Details

• Shift: Nights
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-call: Not required
• Floating: Required within scope to meet facility needs (float between like units)
• Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
• Locals Accepted: No (50-mile radius rule from main campus)
• Pending License: Not accepted
• Return to Work Policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
• Contract Limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (can extend once), then must be gone for 6 months before returning
• Guaranteed Hours: Call off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; after that, all contracted shifts are guaranteed
• Patient Population: Must be comfortable working with both adults and children in ICU and pediatric settings
• Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and float as needed
• Only 4 days allowed off for Return to Work (RTO) and no holidays off

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with both adult and pediatric patients

Additional Notes

• Must be comfortable working with both pediatric and adult ICU patients
• Floating between units as needed within scope of practice
• Strict policies on call-offs and shift coverage
• Facility enforces a 2-contract limit with mandatory break periods before returning as a traveler

This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists comfortable with night shifts, pediatric and adult ICU care, and flexible floating assignments in a Level III Trauma Center environment.
