Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology

Location: Fishersville, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

• Schedule: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (07:30 AM - 04:00 PM)
• Call Requirements: 1-2 call shifts per week plus possibility of 1-2 late shifts (04:00 PM - 07:00 AM) as needed
• Rotating weekends and holidays

Unit & Caseload

• 5 Procedure Room Unit including:

  • 2 Fluoroscopy Rooms
  • 2 Ultrasound Rooms
  • 1 CT-capable Room
• Average caseload: 10-15 cases per day
• Typical procedures: Joint injections, paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, nephrostomy, cholecystectomy tube placements and exchanges, abscess drains, port placements, biopsies, thrombectomies, embolizations, chest tube placements, and more

Required Experience & Skills

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year
• Fluoroscopy experience

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Virginia state license or compact state license for Radiology
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Virginia State Police background check and fingerprinting as applicable
• Negative 10-panel drug test including marijuana within 30 days of start (zero tolerance for THC)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Fit mask test (N95 preferred), updated annually
• Tdap vaccine within past 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
• Hepatitis B vaccination or positive titer or declination
• Varicella vaccination or positive titer
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references
• Current application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually for specialty
• Completion and acknowledgment of facility-specific policies and safety manuals prior to start (e.g., standards of appearance, confidentiality agreement, compliance forms)
