Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Prosser, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Mostly night shifts with some mid shifts as needed
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call Requirement: No
Floating: As needed within scope

Job Description

• Work with all age groups in respiratory and neuro diagnostics.
• Locals allowed to apply.
• No radius restrictions.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• EMR system used: Meditech.
• Block scheduling is negotiable during the interview.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Washington
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or attestation.
• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service).
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, SS trace, sex offender registry, and education verification.
• Required federal exclusions and sanctions checks (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG).
• Education verification.
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands (initial and annual).
• Fit mask (N95) required.
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine preferred (mask option if declined)
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within 30 days of start.
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
• Employment application/resume.
• Skills checklist updated annually.
• Competency exams as applicable by profession.

Additional Notes

• Floating within the scope of practice may be required.
• Block scheduling options can be discussed during the interview.
• Candidates using a multi-state license in Washington may have additional state-specific training and attestation requirements.
