Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NICU

Location: Covington, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Unit Details

• Ability to work in all critical care areas including NICU, adult ICU, Emergency Department, and basic floor therapy
• Weekend schedule: Every other weekend
• No on-call required
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty
• First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year

Competency & Testing Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for ICU/critical care areas
• Color blindness test required (with alternative evaluation if needed)
• Competency exam required for nursing and allied health staff

Additional Information

• Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit before final approval
• Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time: 7 days
• Holiday work expectations: If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, traveler expected to work it; if 2 holidays, work both; if 3 holidays, work 2 of them
• Full compliance with onboarding and credentialing required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)

Required Documentation

• Valid photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background check including criminal, sex offender, education verification, and others as specified
• Skills checklist updated within the last 12 months
• Work history verification of most recent employer (can be pending at start with proof it is in process)
• Two clinical references required
