Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Connellsville, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Must work every other weekend
• Work Environment: Typically working independently
• Equipment Used:

  • Bellavista and Avea ventilators
  • Siemens RapidPoint 500e ABG analyzers

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Required Certifications (as applicable)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – as required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as required

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• 7-year criminal background check including county, nationwide, sex offender, and state-specific searches
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification (transcripts/diplomas) required
• Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting within 12 months of start date
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and/or titers required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within past 10 years)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Nov-April)
• COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination required
• Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport style, no filters)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and acknowledgment forms prior to start
• Completion of bloodborne pathogen quiz prior to start
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
• Two professional references within the last 3 years
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse clearance within 1 year of start

Notes

• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification may be required for certain units (Emergency, Behavioral Health, Acute Care)
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
