Travel/Contract LVN / LPN - Medical Surgical

Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced LVN / LPN for a Medical Surgical unit at a Level I Trauma Center. This is a travel/contract position with a start date ASAP.

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years recent experience in LVN / LPN specialty (first-timers accepted only if 3+ years recent experience)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Prior travel experience required (must have completed at least one prior travel contract)

Work Details

• Shift options: 48-hour or 36-hour shifts (indicate preference)
• Team nursing model with a 1:7 ratio (ratios may be higher with support from PCC, RN, etc.)
• On-call and weekend work as needed
• No block scheduling except possible weekend block
• Locals within 100-mile radius not accepted (strict rule)

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Current LVN / LPN license valid in Tennessee or compliant with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines (pending licenses not accepted)
• IV Certification (firm requirement)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - required for certain units including Medical Surgical/Telemetry
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC)

Required Qualifications & Compliance

• Valid LPN / LVN license in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• IV Certification
• Experience working with Level I Trauma patients

• On-call and weekend requirements as needed
• No locals accepted within 100-mile radius

This position is ideal for experienced LVN / LPNs with trauma and large hospital experience who have prior travel contract experience and are IV certified.
