Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Part-time, Saturdays and Sundays


Job Description

  • Pediatric hospital setting, including neonate and infant care
  • Minimal to no Return to Office (RTO) required (must be included on submission)
  • EPIC charting experience preferred
  • Recent travel experience preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) experience in Pediatrics, including neonate and infant care, with at least some experience within the last year
  • Experience working with infant, neonate, or pediatric patients
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), required
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), required
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • NURSYS verification of RN license
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Proof of identity (Government-issued photo ID)
  • Social Security Card
  • I-9 and E-Verify documentation or attestation
  • Background checks including:
    • 7-year criminal check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG searches within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • Education verification (copy of nursing degree from accredited college)
  • References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
  • Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit
  • Employment application/resume

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required to be updated annually)
  • N95 Fit Mask test within 12 months of start (3M N95, specific sizes required)
  • Tdap vaccine required (declinations/exemptions NOT accepted)
  • Negative TB test (Qgold or Tspot within 3 months of start; PPD not accepted)
  • Immunizations or positive titers required for:
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination mandatory for current season (no exemptions)
  • Drug testing: 10-panel plus nicotine/cotinine test within 60 days of start

Competencies & Training

  • Pediatric Pharmacology competency exam required
  • Annual proof of OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission training or signed attestation

Additional Notes

  • Prior travel experience is preferred but not explicitly required
  • Candidate personal information (name, DOB, SSN) must be updated in the candidate profile system
  • Confidentiality and security agreement must be signed prior to start
