Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- First time travelers accepted.
- Call requirement: On call every 3rd or 4th weekend starting Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM.
- Skillset required: Proficient in both peripheral vascular and neurovascular interventional radiology (IR).
- Must be able to scrub both peripheral and neuro cases including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, drainages, upper and lower extremity procedures, abdominal and pelvic vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies.
- Department has 4 IR rooms (2 single plane and 2 biplane Siemens C-arms).
- Two IR techs assigned per room: one circulates, one scrubs.
- Cases include Level 1 trauma, pulmonary embolism, stroke, vascular and neuro interventional procedures such as angiograms, embolizations, nephrostomy, IVC filter placement, PE thrombectomy, intracranial thrombectomy, stent placements, and central line insertions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
Additional Information
- Call-in shift policy: If a traveler calls in for a contracted shift, the shift must be made up during the pay period if working 0.9 FTE; otherwise, the shift will be added to the end of the contract.
- On-site fit testing available only as a last resort with limitations.
- Must complete mandatory orientation modules prior to start.
- Must complete facility-specific compliance and confidentiality agreements.
- Must have a valid driver’s license or passport.
Prior Travel Experience
- No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
This position is ideal for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist skilled in both peripheral and neurovascular procedures, comfortable with weekend call, and able to meet comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements.
