Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Location: Mountain Home, Arkansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide direct patient care, medication administration, and sterilization techniques in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Assist physicians with cardiovascular and special procedure studies/interventions.
• Act as patient advocate during procedures.
• Call required 9 to 10 days per month.
• Preferred start date: end of April.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arkansas.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN or MSN degree.

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted.
• Other certifications may be required as applicable (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, CHEMO) based on job duties.

Background & Health Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start; annual updates required.
• Education verification required.
• State-specific criminal history and sex offender checks required within 30 days of start.
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing).
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray required (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing).
• Immunizations required or proof of immunity for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (or declination)
  • Varicella
• Drug screening required (negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start).
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
• COVID-19 vaccination documentation required or exemption/declination notification.

Additional Requirements

• Must complete facility-specific documents and orientation prior to start.
• Must comply with safety-sensitive designation per Arkansas regulations.
• References: 2 professional references required within 3 years.
• Work history verification for the past 2 years required.
• Skills checklist and competency exams required and must be updated annually.
