Location: Carmel, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse for a travel/contract position. The role involves providing 1:1 patient care in a high-volume endoscopy unit with both pediatric (0 months to 18 years) and adult patients. The nurse will provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care, including bronchoscopy and EBUS procedures, with some floating to PACU as needed.

- Bronchoscopy Experience: Must have performed bronchoscopy within the last 2 years
- Cerner Experience: Must have Cerner charting experience within the last 2 years
- Shift Requirements:
- On-call required: one Monday-Thursday evening/night shift per week and one weekend on-call shift every 6 weeks
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Shift options include 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours ranging from 36 to 48 hours per week
- Float: May float to PACU within scope as needed
- First Timers: First-time travel nurses accepted
- Locals: Not accepted
- Pending License: Not accepted; must have Indiana state license and required certifications in hand before starting
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Unit Information
- Procedures include Upper & Lower GI, Bronchoscopy, EBUS, and Pain Management
- Typically lighter days on Tuesdays
- 1:1 nursing care ratios
Technology & Documentation
- Cerner electronic health record system required
- Provation preferred
Work Environment
- Short-term acute care facility
- 153 staffed beds

Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana RN license
- Minimum 3 years Endoscopy nursing experience
- Recent pediatric and bronchoscopy experience as noted
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Cerner experience within last 2 years
- Ability to work on-call shifts and holidays as required
Additional Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
- Background checks including criminal, education verification, and federal exclusions
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start (N95 or approved respirators)
- Immunizations and titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, TB test, Flu vaccination (declinations not accepted)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
- References: Minimum 2 from recent employment with appropriate supervisory titles
- Skills checklist and competency exams as required by unit
Notes
- Weekend shifts are not required regularly, but on-call weekend coverage is part of the schedule
- Block scheduling may be discussed but is not guaranteed
- Must be able to meet facility-specific compliance and orientation requirements prior to start
