Job Opportunity: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position: Inpatient Behavioral Health Social Worker (not case management)
• Schedule: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Optional weekend shifts available if needed and desired
• Float Requirement: May float throughout patient tower across MedSurg units as necessary
• Responsibilities include:

  • Performing psychosocial assessments
  • Collecting collateral information
  • Collaborating with providers on diagnostic impressions and treatment plans
  • Participating in daily treatment rounds and afternoon huddles
  • Providing individual and group therapy
  • Leading family meetings
  • Collaborating with discharge coordinators on follow-up care and discharge planning
• Patient population includes voluntary and involuntary patients
• Average length of stay (ALOS) is approximately 4.5 days
• Dress code: Business casual
• Flu vaccination is required for all employees

Required Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, including experience within the last year
• Experience as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LCPC)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Criminal background check and various verifications required prior to start
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• Required immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption
  • TB test or chest X-ray
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) documentation or titers
  • Hepatitis B status
  • Varicella vaccination or titer
• Drug screening within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
• Valid state license verification prior to start

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
• Compliance with ongoing background checks and monthly federal exclusions screenings
• Annual competency exams and safety manual acknowledgements as applicable
• N95 fit testing within 9 months of start and updated annually (if applicable)
