CT Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Paterson, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM (3 shifts/week, 12 hours each)
• No on-call requirements
• No floating
• Holidays required
• Work involves general CT procedures including angiograms, strokes, traumas, and interventional radiology (IR) procedure scanning
• Trauma experience required; the department supports a Level 2 trauma center with adult and pediatric traumas
• Experience with GE and Toshiba CT scanners preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• The CT department works closely with the Emergency Department servicing an inner-city community

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA provider or instructor card
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Criminal background check within 1 year, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
• SAM and OIG checks required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit testing for N95 mask within 1 year, must be completed prior to start
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titers or declination form accepted)
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination form accepted
• Negative TB test (Q-Gold, T-Spot, or Two-Step PPD) within 6 months or 1 year depending on test type
• Flu seasonal vaccination or approved exemption required by November 15 annually
• Stroke-related CEUs (8 total, with 2-3 hours from NIH certificate) preferred for ER-related work

• Two professional references or evaluations required

Uniform

• Black scrub top and bottom
• Short white lab coat optional
