Respiratory Therapist

Varied shift, mostly night shift with some day shifts as needed

Required Qualifications

Credentialed by the NBRC as a Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist at time of submittal
High school diploma or GED
Successful completion of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy
Basic Life Support
Two years experience as a certified Respiratory Therapist
Flu vaccine required

Job Responsibilities

Assessment, administration, and evaluation of respiratory therapy treatments
Pulmonary function testing
Extubations
Airway management and ventilatory life support for critical adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
Interpreting and evaluating pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gases, airway management, and respiratory treatments
Patient instruction on respiratory therapy equipment, inhalation gases, and other therapies related to respiratory diseases and respiratory wellness
Cleaning, care, and maintenance of equipment used in respiratory treatments and pulmonary function testing
