Job Opportunity: Medical Laboratory Technician (Contract)

Job Description

• Perform technical analytical procedures in areas such as hematology, chemistry, special chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, serology, urinalysis, coagulation, and phlebotomy as ordered by physicians or healthcare providers.
• Conduct routine and special laboratory tests according to written requisitions.
• May specialize in one or multiple clinical testing areas.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.
• Participate in quality control evaluation and documentation for tests conducted.
• Authorized to manually enter results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Adhere to the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare facility.

Schedule

• Night Shift: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.

Requirements

• BLS/BCLS certification required.
