CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Night Shift
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Perform quality CT exams across all department procedures, including Neuro, Body, MSK, CTAs, IR procedures (biopsies, ablations, drain removals), 3D reformats, colonography, enterography, urograms, trauma scans, and dual energy imaging.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, physicians, families, students, and healthcare personnel.
- Perform quality assurance (QA) and help ensure department compliance and adequate stocking.
- Float within CT department locations under the same manager.
Work Schedule
- Night shift: Wednesday to Friday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- On-call 1-2 times per month (Wednesday to Friday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Equipment Used
- GE CT scanners: 8 total (4 units 256-slice, 3 units 64-slice, 1 unit 16-slice)
- EPIC EMR system
- McKesson PACS
- Bar Code Medication Administration system
Required Qualifications
- Certified CT Technologist (ARRT CT) and Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R) credentials required
- State of Nebraska Medical Radiographer License required
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) required
- Proficient computer skills including basic navigation and email use
- Effective communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to handle difficult customer interactions and escalate as needed
- Level 1 trauma center experience preferred
- Prior hospital experience preferred
Orientation & Training
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation (guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation)
- 6-week orientation for outside candidates including multiple locations and assigned preceptor
- Mid-point progress check at 3 weeks
- Training includes IV line education, department-specific protocols, and communication processes
Additional Information
- Call-off policy allows up to 36 hours off every 13 weeks
- Local candidates within 100 miles are not accepted
- Dress code: Red scrubs or red t-shirt with employer emblem sewn on

- Must disclose any required time off during the assignment upfront
- Candidates must confirm possession of ARRT (CT)(R) certification and Nebraska Medical Radiographer License
- Prior work at this employer within the past 12 months must be disclosed
