Travel assignment in California
13-week contract
Night shifts
12-hour shifts
36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

Cardiac ICU
30 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:2, with 1:1 to 1:2 assignments most of the time
Charge nurse does not take a patient assignment
No nurse aides
Vents: yes
RT available 24/7
Pharmacy available 24/7
Hospitalist in house 24/7
Floating to tele or med-surg units
1 day of unit orientation

Schedule

Every other weekend
No holiday requirement at this time, though holidays may be required
Self-scheduling, with schedules made about 6 weeks in advance and finalized after manager review

Additional Notes

Candidates will take a proctored dysrhythmia test onsite on day one; this is pass/fail
Navy scrubs required

Great hospital. Kind and friendly staff.

Cons

The cafeteria is a hit and miss. Some days they have great sea food with saffron rice! Some days microwaved food :D. But there is alwaaaaays, pizza available ;)
