Sterile Tech – Garden City, Kansas

Job Details

• Specialty: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Evenings (1:00 PM – 9:30 PM), Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Weekend & Holiday Call: Required with a 30-minute call response time
• Scheduling: No self-scheduling; fixed shift hours
• Orientation: Unit/department-specific orientation week; clinicians must be in-state for orientation week even if some modules are remote

Work Environment & Duties

• Work unit: Sterile Processing Department (SPD) covering Operating Room including GI
• Common cases: Basic orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, gastrointestinal
• Duties include decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and scope reprocessing
• Equipment: Facility acquiring da Vinci surgical robot by January 2026
• Dress code: Hospital scrubs provided
• No floating to other units

Required Qualifications

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification via HSPA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
• Valid driver’s license required (for radius verification within 60 miles)
