13-week contract
Night shift
36 hours per week
3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7a
Unit: ICU
20-bed Neuro ICU
2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio

Required Qualifications

RN license
ICU experience
Critical care experience
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Must be able to titrate drips
COVID vaccination required

Unit Information

Common patient types include stroke, dialysis, head bleeds, ventric/evd, and neuro disorders requiring critical care
Common drips include Levophed, phenylpherine, versed, paralytics, heparin, insulin, and nicardipine/vaso
Intensivist in house during the day, on call at night, with 24/7 APP coverage
RT in ICU 24/7
Telemetry is observed from another floor
Nurse aides are on the unit at a 10:1 ratio

Scheduling

Weekend requirement: 3 weekend shifts, plus 1 Friday and 1 Monday per 4-week schedule
Holidays scheduled as needed
Preference scheduling is used, and block scheduling is allowed
