ER RN Travel Job - Klamath Falls, Oregon
Position Details
- Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Nurse
- Location: Klamath Falls, Oregon
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: Orientations held twice monthly
- Shift Schedule:
- Rotations in 4-week blocks (Day/Evening/Night)
- May remain on one block or switch with advanced notice
- Shift start times: 06:45 (Day), 09:45 (Mid), 11:45 (Mid), 13:45 (Mid), 18:45 (Night)
- Must be willing to work any or all shifts listed
Required Certifications & Skills
- ACLS, BLS Certification
- ENPC or PALS
- NIHSS
- TNCC
- Oregon Emergency License accepted (must obtain ASAP)
- Experience with mental health, alcohol intoxication (ETOH), and overdoses required
- Prior travel experience required (at least one completed travel assignment)
- Fast track experience available
Experience

Work Environment & Unit Details
- Separate triage area with 2 rooms
- Separate psych hold rooms (2) and overflow psych area, all separate from main ED
- In-house security present
- Dedicated charge nurse and house supervisor
- Support staff includes ED techs and patient sitters
- EMR systems: EPIC, Pyxis
- Respiratory therapy equipment available (vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow); RT performs ABGs, breathing treatments, and EGS
- Telemetry monitors in every room with 24/7 monitor tech support; RNs read strips
- X-Ray and CT available in ER with transport services
- Both phlebotomy and nurse blood draws performed
Scheduling & Orientation
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- Holiday coverage: at least one holiday off (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Independence Day, New Year's, Memorial Day, Labor Day)
- No call or standby requirement
- No floating requirements
- Dress code: any scrubs, no uniforms
- Orientation: minimum 2 days before rotation start
- Night shift workers must be willing to work an alternate schedule (48 hours on/24 hours off vs 36/36)
