Registered Nurse (MedSurg/Tele Observation) - Arizona

Job Description

A regional hospital in the White Mountains of Arizona is seeking MedSurg/Tele travel nurses for urgent needs. The position involves working three 12-hour shifts per week with guaranteed hours and no cancellations. The unit has 10 MedSurg beds with Telemetry capability on all beds. Nurses will float to all MedSurg units and ICU, taking MedSurg overflow patients.

Work Schedule & Environment

• 12-hour shifts
• 36-hour guarantee per week with no cancellations
• Nurse to patient ratios:

  • 1:5 during the day
  • 1:6 at night
  • 1:4 for pediatric patients (based on acuity)
• Support staff includes Tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs
• Nurse managers do rounds but do not provide direct patient care
• Scrub color is flexible; scrubs are not provided

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in MedSurg acute care setting
• ACLS (AHA) certification required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• PALS certification preferred

Additional Information

• Float to all MedSurg units and ICU as needed
• Experience with Telemetry patients required
