Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN
• EFM

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience: 3+ years in Labor and Delivery (higher value between 2 and 3 years applied)
• Must Have Skills:

  • Management of labor
  • FSE (Fetal Scalp Electrode)
  • IUPC (Intrauterine Pressure Catheter)
  • Epidural care

Unit Information

• Unit: OB – Labor and Delivery
• Beds:

  • 11 Labor Beds
  • 16 Postpartum Beds
  • 2 OR Bays
  • 2 Recovery Bays
• Patient Ratios:

  • Labor: 1:1 to 1:3
  • Postpartum: 1:6 to 1:8
• Equipment:

  • Fetal monitoring
  • Infant warmers
  • FSE
  • IUPC
• EMR System: EPIC
• Float Requirements: Labor and Delivery and Postpartum

• Laboring mothers
• Antepartum patients
• Postpartum patients
• Gynecological surgery patients
