Position Details

• Specialty: Labor and Delivery RN
• Number of Openings: 2
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Schedule: Assigned weekends and assigned holidays, every other weekend off
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Call Requirements: No on-call

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN
• EFM

Experience

• Minimum 3+ years in labor and delivery preferred

Unit Information

• Unit: OB – Labor and Delivery
• Beds:

  • 11 Labor beds
  • 16 Postpartum beds
  • 2 OR bays
  • 2 Recovery bays
• Patient Ratios:

  • Labor: 1:1 to 1:3
  • Postpartum: 1:6 to 1:8
• Equipment: Fetal monitoring, Infant warmers, FSE, IUPC
• EMR System: EPIC

Job Responsibilities & Skills

• Management of labor including use of FSE, IUPC, and epidural care
• Float between Labor and Delivery and Postpartum units
• Care for laboring mothers, antepartum, postpartum, and gynecological surgery patients
• Ability to manage emergency situations and work as a team player
