Unit Information

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Beds: 3 suites
• Staffing:

  • 13 full-time staff
  • 2 charge nurses
  • 6 RNs
  • 4 Radiology Techs
• Shifts:

  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse with 3 teams of 3 staff per room
  • Night Shift: On call only
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Equipment: GE X-ray
• EMR System: Meditech
• On Call Requirement: 14 days in 6 weeks
• Floating: None

Required Skills & Experience

• Cath lab experience is mandatory
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Preferred: 2+ years of cath lab experience

Typical Procedures

• Heart catheterizations
• Electrophysiology studies with ablation
• Peripheral runoff and interventions
