• Patient Population: Childbearing-aged women and newborns
• Unit: OB/GYN (4 labor rooms, 4 postpartum rooms)
• Patient Ratios:

  • Labor/Delivery/Postpartum: 2-1:1 LDRP, 3 couplets:1 Postpartum
• Electronic Health Records (EHR): OBIX, Medhost, GUI

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Registered Nurse License valid in New Mexico
• Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • AWHONN
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • PALS
  • HWC
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years in Labor & Delivery specialty (highest requirement)
• Experience: Previous Labor & Delivery/Postpartum experience required
• Personality Fit: Patient experience focused, team-oriented, eager to learn

Compliance & Other Requirements

• All clinical staff must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that the check is being processed (14-day waiver with supervision allowed while waiting for results)
• Must meet New Mexico state requirements for clinical staff background checks
• Scrub color: Not specific; no casual wear allowed
