Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of current acute care hospital experience. The role involves providing treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies such as asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema.

Unit Information

• Unit Size: 12 beds
• Staffing: 5-8 staff members including director, permanent RRTs, and per diem help
• Shifts:

  • Day Shift: Director, lead RRT, 2-3 RRTs
  • Night Shift: On-call team (varies by volume)
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:1 or 2:1
• Equipment Used: Oxygen cylinders and concentrators, nebulizers, suction machines, CPAP & BiPAP machines
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
• Respiratory Therapist with 2 years of experience
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech EMR system

• Respiratory treatments and evaluations for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia, emphysema
